In order to foster the team’s morale ahead of the Confederation of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) tournament and the world’s cup preparations, two Lesotho bid companies donated t-shirts and sweatshirts to the country’s senior national football team, Likuena, on Wednesday afternoon at the ministry of sports premises.
They comprised of 50 national flag bearing t-shirts and 50 200 year’s bicentennial inspired t-shirts and 50 sweatshirts inscribed with the national flag and 50 sweatshirts with bicentennial logo on them.
The merchandise gesture is courtesy of Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation (LDTC) via its VisitLesotho flagship and Maluti Mountain Brewery (MMB) via its major selling beer brand, Maluti Lager.
“Maluti Lager and Likuena are Lesotho’s best export,” emphasized ‘Mapulumo Mosisili legal and corporate affairs manager of MMB.
Present were Honourable Motlatsi Maqelepo, sports minister, Pokello Mahlomola, principal secretary of sports, Mokhosi Mohapi on behalf of Lesotho Football Association (LEFA), Tebello Thoola, on behalf of LDTC and senior officials from Lesotho Sports and Recreation Commission (LSRC) and Lesotho National Olympic Committee (LNOC) among others.
Both MMB and LTDC were coy about the cost of the merchandise handed over to Likuena.
