“She Hive Advocates for change and lobbying for the abolishment of all forms of violence and discrimination against women and children,” Mofoka said
The day was celebrated under the theme “Thella Hee” where clan names were recited to preserve identity and foster pride among Youth.
The National University of Lesotho Lecture, Maloke Phamotseemphasized the significance of initiation School as a rite passage in Lesotho culture to educate young people about adulthood and cultural values.
Phamotse said both women and men initiation was meant to focus on how boys and girls can conduct their households, it emphasized the need for responsibility leadership and taking a good care for family duties to eradicate GBV.
However that has changed as today’s generation lack morals and guidance from parents on how to satisfy each other in marriages , adding that most marriages are destroyed by lack of intimacy thus physical and emotional abuse in most families.
As if that was all, youth competed in reciting their clans and won some prizes which included T. Shirts and key holders.
