Lesotho Tribune is Lesotho’s independent business and current affairs publication. We cover the people, decisions, and forces shaping the economy and governance of the Mountain Kingdom — and their consequences for ordinary Basotho.
What we do
We practice data journalism and investigative reporting. Where other outlets report what officials say, we ask what the numbers show. We follow the money in public contracts, track policy outcomes, and hold institutions accountable for the gap between promise and performance.
Our coverage spans business and markets, politics and law, health and social policy, energy, mining, and the sectors that define Lesotho’s economic future. We also cover the Southern African region where it directly affects Lesotho’s interests.
Our editorial standards
We publish what we can verify. Where we rely on sources who cannot be named, we say so. Where we make errors, we correct them promptly and transparently.
Our political alignment is economic liberalism. We believe in free markets, institutional accountability, and the rule of law. We do not hide this alignment — we think transparency about editorial values serves readers better than a false claim of neutrality.
