On this day 11 September 2007, the then foreign affairs minister of France, Jean-Marie Bockel, made official state visit to Lesotho.
This was the first time France visited Lesotho despite friendship spanning over 174 years when the first white people to settle in Lesotho arrived in 1833 from France.
