Meet Lesotho’s second youngest prime minister

To this day, Leabua Jonathan, is still the second youngest prime minister to rule Lesotho. He was only 51 years old when he became the prime minister on this day, 7 May 1965. 

He was succeeding Sekhonyana ‘Maseribane who became the prime minister in 1965, at a tender age of 47 years old. 

The third youngest prime minister is Pakalitha Mosisili at 53 years old in 1998.
