The Lesotho Defence Force has recorded a second trainee death since the start of its current military training intake, raising fresh concerns about the conditions and safety protocols at the training facility.
Sources confirmed to Lesotho Tribune this morning that another recruit has died, barely a week after the first fatality. Details surrounding the latest death remain scarce, with the LDF yet to issue an official statement.
Families of trainees and human rights advocates are already demanding transparency, saying two deaths in such a short period signal a deeper problem that cannot be dismissed as isolated incidents.
