The High Court stands on women’s protection from violence

The High Court of Lesotho has declared that it has a duty to protect women, especially the elderly, who continue to suffer and die at the hands of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in the country. This powerful statement was made on Friday by Justice Tšeliso Mokoko during the sentencing of 41-year-old Mpho Teetsa of Ha Ralintši, Mafeteng.
